Командувач Сухопутних військ генерал-полковник Олександр Сирський вчора, 5 березня, у черговий раз відвідав частини, які здійснюють оборону Бахмута та на підступах до міста.
За його словами, бої за Бахмут досягли найвищого рівня напруження.
«Ворог кинув у бій додаткові сили Вагнера. Наші воїни мужньо боронять позиції на півночі Бахмута, намагаючись не допустити оточення міста», – зазначив Олександр Сирський.
Наш опір на цьому плацдармі триває вже декілька місяців. Увесь цей час спроби ворога захопити місто розбивались об стійкість наших воїнів. Наші оборонці завдали значних втрат ворогу, знищили велику кількість техніки, змусили кидати у бій найкращі штурмові підрозділи Вагнера та зменшили наступальний потенціал противника”.

“Our resistance at this bridgehead has been going on for several months. All this time, the enemy’s attempts to capture the city were defeated by the steadfastness of our soldiers. Our defenders inflicted significant losses on the enemy, destroyed a large amount of equipment, forced Wagner’s best assault units into battle and reduced the enemy’s offensive potential.””
